Dear Editor,

[Re: Vandals cut Shaw service, The News, Aug. 25]

Thank you very much for your complete story about the damage to company’s fibre network caused an outage over two days.

I dusted off my radio, that I had not used in years, to find out what happened to our Shaw cable service. Not much help there. No help from my personal computer, either.

If it wasn’t for this timely article, in our local newspaper, we would still be left in the dark, over this issue.

I hope the RCMP consider this a criminal act, and not dismiss it as a civil property matter. We should not risk a repeat of this vandalism.

Maybe, someone saw something suspicious, foot prints at the scene, tire marks at the scene, a strange car driving away. It all helps to collar these outrageous criminals.

Fred Perry, Maple Ridge
