I thought it was just me being confused about the new recycling program for 2025.
But, I have talked to others, and they too are frustrated and confused with the changes.
Soft and hard plastics and some every two weeks?
Two friends said they put it in the garbage if they leave these behind during pick up.
Not the reply I wanted to hear.
My son in Port Coquitlam had an easy program. All plastics in one bin and the city sorts for the taxpayers.
Pink bin versus red! Where did the pink colour come from?
They need to redo the marketing strategy and make it easy.
Perhaps an easy explanation and proper pictures showing the more common items to recycle for each bin on their website.
Make it easy for people so they don’t get so frustrated by the recycled items left behind end up in the garbage.
Recycling is a smart way to go.
Just make it simple to succeed.
