Re: Maple Ridge actress lands role in Wonder.

As a mother of seven children, this tear jerking movie Wonder, starring Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson and Jacob Trembley, has a message that can not be overlooked this Christmas break.

When Hollywood invests in good messages that help children see that kindness trumps all and that we can all be apart of choosing to love in a subtle and discrete way, we must support such efforts instead of those that depict revenge or power.

We should teach our children that they all have value, regardless of their outward appearance, social network or how many “likes” they get on a Facebook post.

We know we have molded children of integrity when they no longer think about themselves, but look beyond the mirror and look at the needs of others.
