LETTER: Thank you for sharing inspiring story

Faith in humanity restored for reader
soles-1
Delbert Soles, who rescued a woman from the choppy waters of the Fraser River in November, held a commendation and medal he received from Ridge Meadows RCMP.

Dear Editor,

[RE: Maple Ridge man given bravery awards for saving woman from Fraser, March 25, The News]

I just read and appreciated your story re: Delbert Soles rescuing a lady from drowning.

Delbert and all the others who help people in distress/drowning replenishes my faith in humanity.

We need many stories of random acts of kindness, and of bravery, to motivate and inspire all to do the right thing.

We, the public, need to be informed and to be inspired to be selfless, and to come together.

I feel that the company that terminated Delbert could rescind their decision... could you.

Thank Delbert Soles. Also, thank you [reporter] Colleen Flanagan for your journalism/story. I look forward to more of your written words. Well done.

Christopher Scott, Richmond
