I am just thinking that at the first of this year, we got roughly a dollar raise in our pension. The next letter I open is that our health plan premiums have gone up $26.

Prescription costs are going up, along with other costs, while the cable TV bill is also increasing. In many cases, TV is the only entertainment pensioners have.

I’m guessing that each pensioner is paying another $75 more a month this year. Most of the extra costs have come out of their food budget.

Maybe it’s time that all pensioners do something so they can get locked up in jail. The food, glasses, prescriptions, dental care and anything else would be looked after.

Many pensioners fought in wars and worked at all kinds of jobs to make this country a great place to live.

When I heard the budget come down this year, I was so disappointed to hear all the money going out to other countries but none going to our own. Having to pay for hospital parking is also a hardship.
