Re: Question of the week: Are you worried about the effects of the UK leaving the European Union?
My answer is ‘hell, yes.’
It has already cost me 14 per cent of my widow’s pension, paid monthly by an English oil company in British pound sterling, on the first of every month, and will probably cost me that 14 per cent drop in pay for years to come.
Please note that this pension is worth more than what I am entitled to from the Canadian government, so a 14 per cent loss of income hurts.
