Re: Pitt cracks down on dog owners (The News, July 25).
Why should I and other responsible dog owners be punished for the actions of irresponsible owners?
I have my dog at the Albion sports fields most days and she is off leash for the majority of time.
I clean up after my dog, and if another dog owner has their dog on leash, I put mine on her leash.
Most off-leash dogs are friendly and cause no problems at all.
Perhaps council should think about the taxes we pay for upkeep to the parks and consider more important issues, such as significant tax increases over the years that we have paid, and consider municipal garbage pickup and other pressing matters rather than punishing dogs and their owners.
I am frankly appalled at this consideration by our council.
