I’m very sad to see Target leave, and so many losing their jobs. My daughter has worked for Target part-time, saving up for college, and the store has been an excellent employer.
Our city needs to really work hard to find another tenant for all of these two hundred or so workers. These are tough times for many in our community, and this is just going to make matters worst for many families.
I hope our mayor and councillors will make this a priority in the months to come and find a suitable replacement for these workers.
Very sad for our community and the families who need this work. Thanks, Target for being a good employer. Sorry to see you go.
