Obligated to question

Re: A chill on Maple Ridge council (The News, June 26).

Editor, The News:

Any member of council, any taxpayer should be able to, in fact if not satisfied, is obligated to question public expenditures at any stage of the budget process.

If this happened more often, we would not be saddled with ongoing four-per-cent-plus tax increases year after year.

Mayor Ernie Daykin and his trained seals should support rookie Coun. Corisa Bell and help keep taxes down. What are you hiding, what have you got to lose?

Go, Corisa.
