‘Sorry, so what’

Our dog has had two surgeries to repair the damage and is suffering

Editor, The News:

My daughter, a few years ago and now again, was walking our dog when it was bitten and attacked, unprovoked, both times by pitt bulls.

Last Saturday, a pitt bull attacked our dog in the parking lot at Hayward Lake. Our dog was on a lead at the end of his walk, getting into the car. Three dogs, off leash, were running around. The two labs did nothing, but the pit bull attacked.

Thank you to the couple who responded with sticks to help fend off the dog. Our dog has had two surgeries to repair the damage and is suffering, as he will for the next few weeks as he recovers physically.

In all the commotion, the pit bull owner said sorry, but that they were his brother’s dogs. He left. We have no name or license number.

I would want him to be aware of the suffering that has happened due to his irresponsible actions and care  with the dogs.
