Stay levelheaded about park

Editor, The News:

Re: ‘Keep green space in public hands’ (The News, May 18).

I have promoted the improvement of the core area for many years, hoping that condo buildings and small business would take over and make the accepted downtown  viable and exciting.

Just as these things begin to take precedence, with a real life planning council, along comes a backward step proposal by some that either a museum take a present green spot in Memorial peace Park, or worse yet, that it stay grass.

The museum makes sense if this was Fort Langley, which has made its entire main street a peek at the past.

Leaving the downtown lot empty would be a boon to the homeless.

Levelheadedness is needed when planning, not emotional ideology.
