How the mainstream media picks and chooses to cover stories is a mystery to me.
When Elmer Derrick signed an initial agreement with Enbridge, the media went nuts with headlines screaming about how the Gitxsan Nation supported the Northern Gateway Pipeline.
But on Monday, Terrace council voted 5-2 to publicly oppose Enbridge’s project.
This is the first municipal council to go on record in opposition.
Even our own provincial government will not take a public stand. This is huge news in British Columbia.
Yet not a word from the media.
And people wonder why social media and the internet is so well used.
