In light of the federal government’s attempts to ram through the pipeline projects and brand anyone who opposes this a radical alarmist, I feel the need to speak up.
For one, we are supposed to be living in a democracy, but it seems that Stephen Harper has replaced it with corporations running the show and implementing their agenda through their bought-out politicians. Mr. Harper needs to remember the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, which guarantees freedom of speech.
A rally against cut to the environmental ministry will be held Sunday, 11 a.m. in Memorial Peace Park in Maple Ridge.
