Too many questions?

Re: A chill on Maple Ridge council (The News, June 26).

Editor, The News:

Bell, Bell, who will stop Coun. Corisa Bell? That was the desperate plea heard from the tower in the centre of town.

The unmistakable sound of fear was heard by a group of lawyers lurking in the forest, just out of view, waiting patiently for a council in distress. ‘The first thing we must do,’ they advised, ‘is to hide all evidence and place a cone of silence over this whole mess. And whatever you do, make sure the video doesn’t get on Youtube or it could go viral.’

What on earth could have possibly been said during the June 17 committee meeting that it requires calling in a group of lawyers to shut down what should be open for everyone’s eyes and ears.

If Coun. Bell Has too many questions, couldn’t that be addressed by respectfully informing her of the information she requires to ‘get with the program’.

Aren’t these people we elected supposed to be great communicators? Aren’t groups of lawyers awfully expensive? Am I asking too many questions?

If somebody called someone else a bad name, I suggest you just go have a little time out, then shake hands and get on with business. I know Ms. Bell is only trying to do her job and do it well. So please let her back in the clubhouse. I’m sure she will behave now that you have shown her your teeth.
