The Royal Bank of Canada is disputing a New York Times report that the bank and other big companies had the ability to read, write and delete users’ messages on Facebook’s messaging platform.
Facebook also disputes the allegations.
The report follows increased scrutiny about Facebook, which earlier this year faced scrutiny over the Cambridge Analytica scandal related to the 2016 U.S. election.
