What about privacy?

The National Energy Board has posted every home address registrants signed up to make an oral statement about Enbridge and its pipeline.

Editor, The News:

The National Energy Board has posted every home address of the 4,522 registrants signed up to make an oral statement about Enbridge and its pipeline during the joint review process underway now in northern B.C.

Wow. Last I checked, this government body was still regulated by the Privacy Act and it’s purpose:

“The purpose of this act is to extend the present laws of Canada that protect the privacy of individuals with respect to personal information about themselves held by a government institution and that provide individuals with a right of access to that information.”

So, care to explain the apparent contradiction NEB?
