Maple Ridge Burrards dropped their third straight game Sunday, 10-6 at home to the nanaimo Timbermen.

Ridge led 2-0 after the first period, on goals by Dan Taylor and Zack Porter. But the Burrards were outscored 5-2 in the second, and by the same margin in the third. The last two were into an empty net.

Taylor paced the Burrards with two goals and an assist. Mike Mallory, Adam Dickson and Dayne Michaud also scored. Riley Loewen had two assists. Kevin Reid, Jean-Luc Chetner and Frank Scigliano also had helpers.

Scigliano stopped 35 of 43 shots.

Ridge outshot Nanaimo 48-45 and went 1-2 on the powerplay, while surrendering one goal to the Timbermen with the man advantage.

With the loss, the Burrards, playing without leading scorer Curtis Dickson and another top offensive player in Ben McIntosh, dropped into a third-place tie in the WLA standings with Nanaimo, both now 8-5-1-1 after 15 games with three remaining.

Dickson, who leads the WLA with 37 goals and 61 points in 11 games, and McIntosh have missed the past four games while away with Team Canada for the FIL World Lacrosse Championships in Israel.

After falling 7-6 to the Victoria Shamrocks at home the previous Sunday, Ridge also fell 11-8 to the Thunder in Langley on Wednesday.

The Burrards fell behind 4-2 early and trailed 9-6 entering the third period. Each team scored twice in the final frame.

Loewen led Ridge with two goals. Chetner had a goal and two assists. Chase McIntyre, Ryan Johnson and Mallory had one of each. Tyler Codron added two assists, while Jeff Cornwall, Adam Dickson, Colton Porter, D.J. Saari and Scigliano all had one.

Scigliano stopped 40 of 51 shots.

The Burrards play the Adanacs in Coquitlam on Tuesday, then host Victoria on Friday at Cam Neely Arena.

The Burrards conclude the regular season on July 24 in New Westminster against the Salmonbellies. All games are at 7:30 p.m.

Burrards GM Lance Andre expects the team to have its full line-up in place for the last regular season game.
