The Maple Ridge Burrards’ playoff hopes took a hit on Sunday, when they lost 9-8 to the last-place Nanaimo Timbermen on the Island.

With the loss the Burrards drop to 7-8 on the season, and into fourth place in the Western Lacrosse Association standings.

Ben McIntosh was the game’s second star with three goals, and Dan Taylor led the scoring with a goal and three assists for four points.
