Flames blanked in Game 2

Abbotsford evens playoff series with 3-0 win.

The Abbotsford Pilots evened the best-of-seven first-round playoff series with the Flames on Saturday, earning a 3-0 win at Planet Ice in Maple Ridge.

Noah Wiebe scored twice for Abby. Nate Castonguay opened the scoring in the first.

The Pilots outshot the Flames 25-20. Paul Tucek took the loss in net.

The Flames won the opening game 6-5 in overtime, overcoming a 5-1 deficit in the third period.

The same two teams meet again Tuesday in Abbotsford, 7 p.m. MSA.
