Flames host revenge game against Chilliwack Friday

The Ridge Meadows Flames are back in action on Friday night, and coming off a win Wednesday in Aldergrove.

The Flames won their sixth straight when they downed the Kodiaks 4-1.

The Maple Ridge Junior Bs were led by Craig Schouten and Nicholas Amsler, who both had a goal and two assists, while Nicholas Yu and Ryan Denney each had a goal.

Amsler remains on top of the Pacific Junior Hockey League scoring race with 61 points in 34 games, and is tied with Delta’s Dalton MacGillivray. For Denney, the goal was his league-leading 38th in 34 games.

Cameron Connolly had a great game in net, stopping 23 of 24 shots.

The Flames host the Chilliwack Jets on Friday night at Cam Neely Arena. The last time these two teams met in Sardis in December, the Jets won 2-1. The Flames are in second place in the Harold Brittain Conference with 50 points in 34 games, and the Chilliwack club is a distant third with 39 points in 31 games.

Both teams feature high-octane offenses, capable of putting up almost five points per game.

The puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
