Free youth golf at Pitt Meadows Golf Club

Putting and chipping instruction offered by the pros

Pitt Meadows Golf Club is giving kids from seven to 18 a chance to spend a day on the course as part of their Junior Golf Day.

Kids will get free putting and chipping instruction from the club’s golf professionals from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 28, as well as the chance to hit balls from the driving range.

“There is no charge for participation by juniors in furthering their knowledge and experience with this wonderful sport,” said Ed Dempster, who chairs the junior golf program. “We are currently offering 40 per cent off memberships.”

Dempster says the course is well-groomed and offers a challenging 18 holes that has been home to many successful golfers, including PGA pro Jim Nelford and prominent junior player A.J. Ewart.
