The Garibaldi secondary team won silver at the B.C. high school water polo championships after an intense gold-medal game against Langley.
Garibaldi twice overcame a two-goal deficit to tie the game, which remained deadlocked 10-10 after regulation.
In the resulting penalty shootout, Langley prevailed 4-3.
Yuri Cowie, Devyani McLaren and Nic Marconato excelled for Garibaldi. The team also included Grace Hamilton from Fairview elementary, and Ethan Benoit from Alouette elementary.
