High School quad-A playoff basketball tips off with the Pitt Meadows Marauders starting tonight.

Centennial and Pinetree played Tuesday night, and the Marauders will host the winner at 6 p.m.

If they win, they will face Heritage Woods at 6 p.m. on Thursday at Terry Fox secondary. The league championship will be played on Friday night at 7:45 p.m. at Fox.

Pitt heads into the playoffs as one of the top-10 teams in the province, with an overall record of 23-10. They went 4-2 in league play.

On Friday they lost to the Terry Fox Ravens 66-47, and on Thursday night blasted Pinetree 88-41.

Triple A playoff position

In triple A action, it’s the final stretch drive before the post season.

The Fraser Valley East playoffs will be held on Feb. 18-20 at Abbotsford Senior Secondary, and teams are jockeying for playoff position.

On Saturday the Maple Ridge Ramblers beat the Samuel Robertson Technical Titans 68-31 in a league game.

The Ramblers are in fifth place in the East at 3-3, but with two games in hand could leapfrog 4-4 Langley. The Titans are eighth at 2-4, and hold down the final playoff spot.

Westview has gone 0-7, and sits in 10th place, outside of the playoffs.They had a close game with R.E. Mountain on Thursday night, but lost 68-62.

That same night, the Ramblers lost to the Abby Senior Panthers 76-62.

SRT will be looking to improve their record and lock down a playoff spot when they host ninth-place Mountain on Thursday  at 7:30 p.m.

The Ramblers will end the season with a flurry of league games. They are in Abbotsford to take on the Robert Bateman Timberwolves on Thursday. The ‘T-Wolves have gone a perfect 7-0 so far. They visit winless Westview on Friday at 7:30 p.m., then play their third game in as many nights, back in Abbotsford to take on the 2-4 Rick Hansen Hurricanes on Saturday.
