Jim Maitland’s rink ran their unbeaten streak to six games with a narrow 6-5 victory over Peter England in Haney Master’s Curling action Monday.
Maitland, with third Rudy Baird, second Ole Hensrud and lead Keith Thompson, held off England in the last end to remain in first place.
Ed Desjardins’ rink continued to inch closer to the top, easily handling Eric Holler 9-2. With Al Goldsack throwing third and Hugh McIntyre setting up each end, Desjardins jumped over Holler in the standings with his third straight win.
Roger Fast with David Christensen, Bob Cocking and Bob Goos blanked the Angelo Masaro rink in a 6-0 win.
