Maple Ridge field lax goalie sets saves record

Candace McDole of Maple Ridge set a new school record for saves in the Edinboro women’s lacrosse team’s win over Georgian Court on Tuesday.

McDole’s 22 saves gives the freshman 57 on the season while earning her third win.

Edinboro improved to 3-1, surpassing its win total from last year. Edinboro competes in Division 2 of the NCAA.

McDole, a freshman, graduated from Samuel Robertson Technical school and earned a four-year field lacrosse scholarship to Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.

McDole was previously part of the Team B.C. Lacrosse program for five years. She also played varsity field hockey and basketball at SRT.

Her brother Mitchell played lacrosse at Young Harris College and will join the Maple Ridge Burrards in the upcoming WLA season.
