The Maple Ridge Ramblers lost their opening game of the provincials 69-58 on Wednesday morning at the Langley Events Centre.

They were beaten by Bodwell of North Vancouver, who came into the triple A tournament as the fifth-seeded team, to MRSS at 12th.

Burke Brussow led the Ramblers in scoring with 21 points, and in rebounds with six.

Will Chartrand had 17 points, including hitting three of five treys, and Tristan Coumont scored 16.

The Ramblers will resume the provincial tournament with a game at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday at the LEC.
