This week the top 16 men’s curling  teams in the province are battling it out to be crowned the best in B.C., and a Maple Ridge team is among them.

The 2015 Canadian Direct Insurance B.C. Men’s Curling Championship is under way at Vernon Curling Club.

Golden Ears Winter Club will be represented by Team Dezura. Skip Grant Dezura’s team is full of experience, with all of the members having previously won silver or gold medals at the BC championship.

In his first match he beat Team Schnieder 4-3, then lost in draw 2 to Team Joanisse 11-7. It is a triple knockout format.
