The basketball season ended at the NCAA Final Four tournament for the Oregon State University women, and Maple Ridge’s Kolby Orum, on Sunday night.

The Oregon Beavers lost to the Connecticut Huskies 80-51 in the NCAA championship tournament semi-finals.

The Huskies have a dynastic team that has won 121 out of its last 122 games, including 74 straight.

For Oregon, it was the program’s first-ever appearance in the Final Four, and the winningest season in Beavers history.

Orum has been a role player, averaging less than 10 minutes per game as she comes off the bench, but the Portland Tribune newspaper reports that the Maple Ridge secondary grad will have a chance to earn a bigger role with the team next season, in her senior year. The Beavers lose three starters.
