Ridge Meadows Flames put the brakes on losing skid

The Ridge Meadows Flames got back to playing some close hockey games over the weekend, and got back in the win column.

On Friday night, they beat the Aldergrove Kodiaks 6-5 in double overtime at Cam Neely Arena.

The Flames were down 5-3 in the third, but scored their fourth and fifth goals just 18 seconds apart to send the game into overtime.

Grant Rostvig got the game winner, and also had two assists Danny Wilson also had a three-point night, with two goals and an assist. Dale Howell scored twice and Bradly Crompton once.

They  lost to the Mission City Outlaws 4-2 on Saturday. Flames goals were scored by Jordan Rendle and Michael Bell.

• The Flames will host the Abbotsford Pilots on Friday night, 7:30 p.m. at Planet Ice.
