The Ridge Meadows Minor Softball Association got into the swing of a new season over the weekend.

Three of its Rage teams hosted tournaments at Albion Sports Complex, and there were four under-12 B teams, six in the U-14 B division and six more in the U-16 B tourney.

The tournaments were three-game exhibitions to get the season started.

The Rage ’02 team start the tourney with a 10-0 mercy-rule shortened win over Prince George, and won two of its three games over the weekend.

The Rage ’04 team started with a 12-10 victory on Saturday morning, and then also won two of its three games.

The active local softball association will be hosting more events next month, with the U-10 and U-12 C May Mayhem tournament on May 14. Then May Madness will against see under 12, 14, 16 and 18 B teams back in action on the May 21 weekend.
