Ridge Meadows Racers flying into a new short track season

It was one three season-opening meets held around the province.

Carina McDonald raced in the Juniors Div. 2, and saw personal bests (pbs) in all the distances and took an amazing 15 seconds off her 1,500m time.

Elite skaters Pascal Chassay, Janie Green, Marshall Shupe and Tim Song skated in the T2T Div. 3, and Green and Song had all personal bests in their 500m races.

Shupe set new personal fastest times at all distances and finished first overall in the division.

In the T2T Division 4, Tahlon Flamma and Annabelle Green had solid performances, with Green setting three pbs and Flamma achieving pbs in all the distances.

In the T2T Div 6, Stephania Kamagianis and Regan Custance skated 200, 400 and 500m distances and had solid appearances, with Custance setting new pbs in all the distances.

In the LT2 Div 9, Adam Abbott, Jared Bolland, Sammy Green and Rohann Chassay skated 200, 300, 400 and 1200m distances each seeing pbs – Green achieving two and Chassay in all distances.

The L2T/FUNd Div 10 saw Aliyah Adomi with three pbs as well as Danica Custance, Cole Lindsay, Willa Ludeman and Mackenzy Clark with pbs in all their races.  Clark finished first in the division.

The L2T/FUNd Div 11 saw siblings Zayda and Shay Jones along with Hailey and Piper Friesen skating great pb times in the 200, 300, 400m races.  FUNd Div 12 saw twins Zahara and Nathan Adomi also skated away with pbs in their races. In FUNd Div 13 Bronte Clark and Finn Ludeman were able to set new pbs.
