Ridge Meadows Royals crush Aldergrove back-to-back

Midgets shut out two teams over the weekend

The Ridge Meadows Royals scored two more wins on Sunday, but that didn’t keep them from falling slightly in the bantam league standings to fourth with a record of 19-4-1.

Nevertheless, the Royals had plenty to celebrate, as they crushed the Aldergrove Dodgers 16-3 in the earlier game, then came back even stronger with a whopping 26-3 win.

The Royals will follow those games up by facing off with the Cloverdale Spurs on Tuesday and Thursday.

The team also celebrated their coach Jason Boldt being named Head Coach of the Year by the Ridge Meadows Minor Baseball Association.

The college prep league Royals were also strong over the weekend, posting three wins out of four games to ensure their third-place standing at 16-9.
