Maple Ridge’s Alex Rowley and the SFU Clan men’s soccer team clinched their third consecutive Great Northwest Athletic Conference title last week with a 7-1 win over Saint Martin’s University

Rowley, a freshman midfielder, registered a goal in the win.

The Clan currently lead the GNAC conference in shots (265), points (126), goals (45), assists (36), and have the lowest goals against total (9). They have a 10-1-1 conference record this season, and will look for two more wins against Seattle Pacific and Western Washington to finish their regular season play.

Although this is their third year a top the GNAC, this will be the first year the Clan men will be able to compete for an NCAA championship, an opportunity they were denied the past two years as provisional members.
