Royals finish league play on high note

Brody Clark comes in in relief and pitch 5 1/3 innings to pick up the win.

Last Thursday night the Ridge Meadows Royals Bantam Double A hardball team completed their 18-game spring league schedule on a high note in Aldergrove.

Pitcher Darian Guemos got the start, and despite being the Royals’ most reliable arm of late, he struggled early and was replaced by Brody Clark in the first inning.

Clark threw a very solid five and one-third innings of relief and picked up the win in an 8-7 victory.

Dylan Cragg pitched the seventh inning to pick up the save.

The Royals finished the regular season with a 6-12 record, and now await the conclusion of league play before the play-off matchups are announced
