Five teams remain in a close battle for first place in Haney Masters’ Curling action following games this week at Golden Ears Curling Club.

Only two points separate the rinks of Greg Hook, Bill Hanula, Roger Fast, Jim Maitland and Eric Holler.

Hanula’s rink, consisting of Clifford Wells (third) and Peter Kosonen (second) and a spare ran their record to 6-1 with a victory over Ed Desjardins (skip), Max Albrechtsen (third), Kent Skene (second) and Ole Hensrud (lead) as they joined in the hunt for first spot.

Holler’s foursome kept pace with the top group with a victory over veteran Jack Stadl.  Along with third Angelo Masaro, second George Lagerstrom and lead Tim Tyler, Holler moved his record to 5-2 to remain in contention in the early-going of league play.
