Alexis Toren of the The Maple Ridge Secondary senior girl’s basketball team was named a tournament all star at the Tri-Cities tournament Dec. 5 and 6.
Maple ridge finished the tournament with two wins and two losses. After getting off to a rocky , the team’s play improved with each game, ending with an impressive 47-27 win over Kitsilano Secondary.
The team was also led with strong offensive and defensive play by Courtney DeAdder and Liz Murphy.
