Wrestler Cody Osborn, a Grade 11 student at Westview secondary school, made Team BC at the Canada Games Team trials earlier this month.
He was dominant in the 63 kg class, defeating last years’ national champion.
In the final a best-of-three format was used to determine the BC Team representative, and Osborn defeated the reigning provincial high school champion in two straight matches.
He did not lose a single round throughout the tournament.
He will now represent his province at the Canada Summer Games later this summer.
