Maple Ridge offers a variety of recreational opportunities to choose from, including attractions like the WildPlay treetop course and the Circle Farm Tour, and the ACT has no shortage of events to take in.
Camping in Golden Ears Provincial Park is not only close to home for many, but is loaded with trails for hiking and horseback riding for residents and visitors alike. The water at Alouette Lake is cold and clear, and the picnic area is perfect for day trips, birthday BBQs and family get-togethers.
The municipal dikes here offer not only views of the majestic Golden Ears mountains, but wildlife including eagles and hawks, herons and cranes, all set amongst acres and acres of farmland and following the path of the Alouette River.
Biking, hiking, canoeing, fishing, horseback riding – you can do it all in Maple Ridge.

Weather
Maple Ridge has a warm and temperate climate. Winters are mild and spring and summer are warm and comfortable. Precipitation is frequent, especially in fall and winter.
Destination BC is developing a new campaign to promote hyper-local travel where residents are “tourists-in-their own hometown,” while practising the COVID-19 safety protocols as recommended by the B.C. Provincial Health Officer. Many B.C. parks are now open, and national parks were to open as of June 1.

Getting Here
Vehicle: There are two major routes that travel through Maple Ridge, Highway 7 known as the Scenic 7 or Dewdney Trunk Road.
Transit: Translink is Metro Vancouver’s transportation network and offers transit options for Maple Ridge.
Train: The West Coast Express travels to Maple Ridge west from Mission and east from Vancouver at Maple Meadows Station and Port Haney Station.
