The Ramblers are graduating a talented class of scholar-athletes.

Maple Ridge Secondary School is celebrating an impressive 15 graduates who are going on to compete in college sports. While many of these athletes honed their skills on club teams, the school can be justifiably proud of their accomplishments, because most are going on athletic and academic scholarships – grades count.

“There’s a wide range of sports represented, and all of these student-athletes manage the balance between school and athletics, and many of them are also working,” said MRSS principal Grant Frend. “Whether they’re representing a school or a community team, they work hard, they do so with pride, and we’re excited for what’s next for them.

“They’re following what they’re passionate about, and that’s great.”

The students are from a variety of sports, and six will be headed to the U.S. to play in the NCAA or at junior colleges.
