Maple Ridge Museum will be hosting two walk tours to mark this year’s Heritage week.
Heritage week, is an opportunity for local heritage sector to organize events that would highlight local heritage and involve the public.
This year’s Heritage Week, with the theme ‘Altogether Inclusive’, will run from Feb. 21 to 27 this year, and will see Maple Ridge residents getting the chance to go on two historic walks around the town led by the local history expert and president of the Maple Ridge Historical Society, Erica Williams.
“Maple Ridge has a truly fascinating history, filled with stories from diverse cultural groups who supported some very successful local business and industries. Join us on a walking tour of the downtown area and learn more about how our city came to be!” said Shannon Macelli, the community engagement coordinator with the museum.

First, would be a walking tour through downtown Maple Ridge, on Feb. 20 at 2 p.m. To register, people can visit: https://bit.ly/3rXhG3D.

”Looking ahead to the Spring and Summer, we have many exciting initiatives, programs and events being planned. Even if COVID restrictions did persist, we successfully ran many activities last summer which we were able to adapt to public health guidelines. We are really looking forward to a busy and great year!” said Macelli.
