On The Page: More are library in March

Now that spring break is almost here, the library is hosting some amazing guests to keep you entertained.

The public library is a place to find books, movies, magazines, and more, but we also have a variety of fun, interesting, and free programs for people of all ages.

And now that spring break is almost here, the library is hosting some amazing guests to keep you entertained.

Join us on March 14, at 10:15 a.m. for guest storyteller Tiffany Stone, who will bring fun poems and rhymes to the library, along with puppets, props and plenty of chances for everyone to participate in this poetry-themed storytime.

On March 15, at 2 p.m., we are hosting Create-a-thon, a hands-on creative program during which kids can build something amazing using a variety of tools or draw their own piece of art to take home.

On March 16, at 11 a.m., the famous puppets are back at our annual Springtime Tales Puppet Show.  Enjoy songs, dancing, and a fantastic show that is guaranteed to make you smile.

We are also hosting Magician Gary Savard on Tuesday March, 21, at 11 a.m., as well as guest storytellers Pamela Sunshine and Beth Southwell on Thursday, March 23, at 10:15 a.m.

For those looking for adult programs, we have lots of things to choose from.  If you’re interested in discussing social issues and current events, join us for the Interfaith Dialogue Series happening on March 22, at 6:30 p.m.  Community members from diverse religious and spiritual backgrounds gather to discuss their beliefs in a setting of goodwill and understanding.

Each evening’s presentation will focus on a particular theme, with opportunities for audience participation. Come with an open mind and an open heart.

• For more information on these and other programs, check out the events section on our website at fvrl.bc.ca or contact the library at 604-467-7417.
