The Pitt Meadows Farmers Market is back, starting June 4 at Spirit Square.

The market will run from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. every Tuesday until Aug. 27, offering fresh produce and artisan items for sale from local farms and vendors.

The market is operated by the Fraser North Farmers Market Society, which also runs the Haney Farmers Market on Saturdays in Maple Ridge, and the Port Coquitlam Market on Thursdays.

Some of the 27 vendors at the first market will be Love Always Permanent Jewelry, The Red Couch Bakery, Detour Farms from Pitt Meadows, Origofood Inc and more. Some will be familiar businesses, and others will be new.

Over 16 markets in 2023, there were almost 13,000 visitors, and more than 11 per cent of those were tourists. The economic impact of the market was pegged at $450,000.
