The young farmer show at Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows Country Fest has a record number of participants this year and promises to be an adorable appearance.
The half-pints are just below age to join one of the event’s 41 registered 4-H clubs, but still have the spunk and initiative to show an animal themselves.
The young farmers range from five to nine years old.
Country Fest takes place July 23-24 at the Albion Fairgrounds on 105th Avenue in Maple Ridge.
“Make sure to arrive at our fair ... nice and early,” said Lauren Kozol, 4-H coordinator for Country Fest. “This way you can fill your day with fun, excitement, and new knowledge of the amazing experiences offered in our community.”
