Tyson Aubin and Kathleen Hatley with the Emerald Pig Theatrical Society take a look at the artwork painted on a van the company will be raffling off at the final performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream in July.

The 1979 Volkswagen van was donated to the theatrical company by Darren and Debbie Zachariuk after they inherited it from a relative who passed away. While they were slowly restoring it they were approached by the company to use it in the Shakespearian production. They donated it as a tribute to their loved one who enjoyed camping and the outdoors in Summerland. Darren, along with his dog Max, will now be acting in the show.

The van was painted by students in the alternative education storefront program at the Greg Moore Youth Centre.

It will be in the Pitt Meadows Day parade this Saturday.

Tickets are $10 for one or three for $25 and can be purchased in Harris Road Park during Pitt Meadows Day festivities on June 4 and at the A&W Show and Shine on June 30 at 100-22805 Lougheed Highway.

A Midsummer Night's Dream runs July 14 to 16 at Spirit Square along Harris Road in Pitt Meadows and July 21 to 23 at the bandstand in Memorial Peace Park downtown Maple Ridge.
