Musicians needed for concerts in Maple Ridge

Lunchtime concert take place from noon to 1 p.m. in August on Tuesday

The Downtown Maple Ridge Business Improvement Association is looking for local and up-and-coming musicians to perform at their third annual Lunchtime Concert Series.

The hour of free musical entertainment fills Memorial Peace Park from noon to 1 p.m. every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in August. Last year’s concerts drew hundreds of spectators and featured artists such as Paul Garay, Natasha Zimbaro, Aurelius, Echo Park, Big Daddy Jay Phillips, Peter Tam, and Denis Leclerc.

Strut your stuff at market

The Haney Farmers Market hosts a “Show Your Stuff” talent show for children under six on Saturday, June 30 in Maple Ridge.

Is there something special you can do? Can you cross your eyes, roll your tongue, are you the best painter? Are you a singer or dancer?

Sign up at the Kids Korner tent for your time slot. New acts will take to the stage every hour on the hour.
