The Bergmann Piano Duo will be coming to the ACT for the next Classical Coffee Concert.

Elizabeth and Marcel Bergmann will be performing some of their favourite works, including Franz Schubert’s Fantasy in F Minor, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Fantasy for a Musical Clock Work and George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue.

The pair have performed in recitals and with orchestras across North America and Europe. Recently they performed at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and in Munich in 2013.

Their programs come from an extensive repertoire ranging from the Baroque period to contemporary and can incorporate numerous arrangements and original compositions.

Both are teachers at the Langley Community Music School.

The Bergmann Duo have won many international competitions. They received first prize at the International Chamber of Music Competition in Caltanissetta, Italy and were laureates of The 4th Murray Dranoff International Two Piano Competition in Florida, U.S.A.

Fantasies and Rhapsodies for Two will take place at 10:30 a.m. on March 9 at the ACT, 11944 Haney Place in Maple Ridge, 10 a.m. Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for youth and $80 for a four-performance series.
