Indie rockers Said the Whale playing in Maple Ridge

Performance at The ACT on Feb. 10

Juno award-winning band Said the Whale will be playing at The ACT Arts Centre in Maple Ridge on Saturday, Feb. 10.

Said the Whale have been alternative radio chart toppers, known for hits like “Camilo” and “Loveless,” and bring a blend of folk, pop and rock music. They were staples on the Canadian indie rock scene for a decade and a half, and have a devoted base of fans who call themselves “SaidHeads.”

Singer songwriters Tyler Bancroft and Ben Worcester, keyboardist Jaycelyn Brown and bassist Lincoln Hotchen bring themes of love, loss, and personal growth to life through energetic live performances, blending different genres into their music for a unique sound.

They are a Vancouver-based band with a West Coast flavour, and draw comparisons to Arcade Fire and the New Pornographers.

They will perform in the Mainstage Theatre at 8 p.m.
