Many people have spent the last couple of weeks binging Avatar: The Last Airbender, which had its first season drop on Netflix on Feb. 22.

This live-action adaptation of the hit 2005 animated show not only features many Canadian actors, but also Canadian locations, including several locations throughout the Lower Mainland.

The cast and crew travelled to Maple Ridge in 2023 to film many of the scenes featured in episode three of the first season.

The shots of Jet’s forest camp were filmed at WildPlay Maple Ridge and feature the acting skills of Sebastian Amoruso and Canadian actress Kiawentiio.

Other scenes throughout the first season were shot in Burnaby, Langley, and Surrey.
