The search is on for talented young people in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.

The City of Maple Ridge is hosting a youth talent show, and the deadline for applications is April 19.

The city is looking for performers aged 6-18 years who are musicians, dancers, slam poets, acrobats, actors, artists, comedians and more. They will perform live at the show on Monday, May 6 at The ACT Arts Centre, as part of BC Youth Week activities.

Last year was the 15 annual talent show, and there were 24 impressive performances.

The youth talent show shows off all the amazing up-and-coming talent in the community, and the week’s activities are to celebrate and strengthen the connection between youth and the community.

To apply, email youthprograms@mapleridge.ca by Friday, April 19.

BC Youth Week happens May 1-7 in 2024, and some of the local events include a fire ball tournament, taco night, three-on-three basketball tournament, the Whomp sleepover and more.
