A Chilliwack farmer didn’t even know his tractor had been stolen, until he drove past it on the road last weekend.

The man reported his tractor stolen to the RCMP after he saw it being driven by unknown people in the Greendale area on Sunday May 5.

The report states the farmer approached the occupants who then fled in a separate vehicle, leaving the tractor.

The farmer returned to his property with the tractor only to discover his barn had been broken into and other items had also been stolen.

The Chilliwack RCMP is working with the RCMP Integrated Forensic Identification section to identify the thieves.

This was just one of the 320 calls that the Chilliwack RCMP detachment responded to between 6 a.m. on May 3 and 4 a.m. on May 6.
